| A Scottish Fold kitten is a
true joy to live with and quickly becomes a cherished member of your
immediate family. These kittens adopt the family, not the other
way around. Pricing on Scottish Folds depends on many factors including ear type, eyes, color, markings, coat, shape, tail, structure, and champion bloodlines. Due to the rarity of the Scottish Fold breed, AND due to the fact that not every kitten born has folded ears, it is VERY hard for the supply to keep up with the demand. For this reason, Scottish Folds are almost always pre-sold before birth, and maintain a steady waiting list for new arrivals. All kittens should be kept with their mother until 12 weeks of age, at that point the kittens should have developed the physical and social stability needed for a new environment, showing, or being transported by air. Click here to see why it is so important they stay with mommy. We ask that our kittens remain indoors to ensure a healthy, long and joyful life, to spay/neuter the kitten on time, and to provide acceptable surfaces for scratching (e.g. scratching posts). The CFA strictly disapproves of declawing or tendonectomy surgery. Click here to see why declawing is so frowned upon in recent years. Your new kitten will come with CFA registration papers, their first set of shots, and are guaranteed parasite/disease free (no fleas, worms, fungus, mites). All kittens are only tentatively priced before 12 weeks old because the folded ear kitten price may vary until about 12 weeks old, giving them ample time for their ears to "settle in" and determine overall quality. |
General pricing is as
follows:
|
| Deposit is $195
down, $100 of that is non-refundable (exception granted
if
we do not have the type of kitten you requested (fold, straight, male,
female...). Remaining balance is due upon receipt of kitten. I do ship kittens within the Continental US if absolutely necessary. The buyer will incur an expense of about $250 for the airline fee, health certificate and kitty carrier. * The Spay/Neuter Contract is a part of the sales contract that the buyer and seller will sign at the time of sale, requiring the purchasing owner to have the kitten spayed or neutered before 6 months of age. The new owner will then give a copy of the surgical receipt from the Veterinarian who performed the spay/neuter operation to the breeder. This is a standard cattery requirement to protect the Scottish Fold breed as a whole. It is very easy to corrupt the Scottish Fold bloodlines, and this is very sad and inhumane, it often results in painful genetic mutations like osteochondrodysplasia and cardiomyopothy. PLEASE BE AWARE that Scottish Folds should be bred ONLY folded ear to straight ear and are not to be bred by people who are not dedicated to the health and well-being of these animals. |
